LEADING THE PROSPECT TO THE BIBLE

Psalm 19:7– “The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul:. . .”

This now becomes a critical time for the Soul-winner to actually display God’s Word to the prospective convert. For this to occur, certain introductory remarks can be made.

            A.        “God’s Word tells us there are 3 things we need to understand and one thing we need to make a decision about.”

            B.        “About ____ ____ago someone took the Bible (or God’s Word or The Scriptures) and showed me specifically what God would require.

While retrieving your New Testament say. . .

            May I show you them. . .

            Let’s look and see what God requires. . .

            God’s word says. . .

Note:  This is a good time to attempt to eliminate hindrances (i.e. TV, loud music, children) by asking them to lower the volume, turn off, etc., or by seeking permission for the silent partner to care for the distractive child or pet.
